Khadijah Abdul Nabi is a multi-disciplinary creative and brand strategist based in Erbil, Iraq. She is the Creative Director of Ya Khadijah, a female-led design studio in Iraq established in 2017 and the Creative and Design Lead at Re:Coded.
Born in The Bronx, New York to resilient immigrant parents from Tunis, Tunisia and Baghdad, Iraq, she has a deep passion for dissecting identity and culture through a creative lens. Khadijah LOVES learning and is a proud visual arts graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York City, a Barnard College Alumna in Middle Eastern Studies, and (much later on in life) a Shillington College graduate in Graphic Design (London Campus).
Khadijah explores and documents Arab graphic design through out the Arab World on her YouTube channel.
She is currently working on a personal project with her creative partner, Raz Xaidan called Rebirth. ReBirth is a visually led project with the purpose to reclaim social identities of women in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with real women, real identities, and a diverse array of feminism that breaks the standards that weren’t set by us.
